The Uninvited Midnight Hour.

There’ll be times when your best doesn’t seem good enough;

When the night seems to stretch longer than the ordinary;

When the birds seem to refuse to sing;

The Sun to Shine;

The uninvited midnight hour.

There’ll be times when the pain within seems inexpressible;

When your bubbles seem to burst;

When you seem entrenched in the dregs of life;

The moon withholds its enchanting caress;

The uninvited midnight hour.

There’ll be times when smiling seems to be a lost art;

When dreams seem to run out of supply;

When the sky looms dark and seems void;

Of any iota of light;

The uninvited midnight hour.

The uninvited midnight hour;

An enigma to the human race;

Needs no invitation;

Comes in with its stool;

Vicious and seemingly all-powerful;

Thankfully only a passer-by.
